Scholarship Guidelines



Mission

EagleRidge Legacy Fund, Inc.’s mission is to help solve the construction workforce shortage by offering scholarships to students pursuing a career in the construction trades or to children of individuals working in the construction trades.

Award Amount

Scholarships begin at $1,000.

Eligibility

  • Applicants age 17 and up.

  • This scholarship is available to those who have applied to or are attending an accredited institution in North Dakota or Minnesota.

  • Those seeking tuition assistance for the year 2024-2025 or high school students seeking tuition assistance for the year 2025-2026.

  • Applicants must be a child of an individual working in the trades or pursuing one of the following trade programs themselves (if your program is not listed, reach out to us to see if you can still qualify).

    • Carpentry

    • Construction

    • Construction Management

    • Construction Engineering

    • Diesel Technology

    • Electrical Technology

    • Fire Science & Technology

    • Heavy Equipment Operation

    • HVAC

    • Machinery

    • Manufacturing

    • Masonry

    • Pipefitting

    • Plumbing

    • Welding

Criteria

The following items are required to be considered for a scholarship:

  • A completed application.

  • One letter of recommendation that focuses on the applicant’s character and abilities from someone unrelated to the applicant.

  • Copy of most recent transcript.

Application Process

Applications are available at www.eagleridgelegacyfund.com. There are two rounds of applications. The first round of applications are due on December 1st, 2024 for scholarship funds to be applied to the Spring 2025 semester. The second round of applications are due April 15th, 2025 for scholarship funds to be applied to the Fall 2025 semester. Applications can be submitted by emailing all documents to info@eagleridgecompanies.com.  

Award Selection

All applications will be reviewed by the members of EagleRidge Legacy Fund, Inc. Scoring is dependent on complete sentences, proper grammar, how applicants answer questions, academic performance, and level of interest in the construction trades.

Scholarship Notification and Payment

Notification of award will be made within 1 month of the application deadline. The scholarship funds will be mailed directly to the recipient’s institution. If awarded, the recipient will be required to provide information regarding their student ID number for the institution and a current mailing address.

Requirements

Scholarship recipients must grant permission to EagleRidge Legacy Fund, Inc. to use their photo and name in various media outlets, including, but not limited to, EagleRidge Quarterly, social media, and scholarship promotional materials.

Revision Policy

EagleRidge Legacy Fund, Inc. reserves the right to modify scholarship requirements and award amounts. Please check the EagleRidge Legacy Fund website for the most up to date information at www.eagleridgelegacyfund.com.
